Eileen Ivers, the wife who defines Celtic thimblerig playing for many Americans, returns to the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival with her Group Immigrant Soul this Month. Her scene is July 17 at 8:00 p.m. The Music Festival’s venue is located in Orkney Springs, Virginia on the grounds of Shrine Mont Camp and Conference Center. Ms. Ivers grew up in the Bronx, New York as the daughter of Irish immigrants.

She’s played the violin since she was eight-Years-old and was a founding colleague of the Company Cherish the Ladies, the Celtic class that rocked the Festival’s put on concluding summer. She was also the harmonious unparalleled for the now iconic show, Riverdance. For almost two decades, she has changed the custom Nation contemplate about the Celtic fiddle. She is a great innovator. It might have been her experiences growing up in the very varied community of the Bronx that has led to her solitary sound.
