Draft legislation would give herbal cure-all makers more hour to comply with EU directive
The Authority will consider next week a tab that gives Hungarians who make traditional Herbal Medicines another two Years to contest a European Union directive requiring authorization for their Products, Responsibility Constantly Napi Gazdaság Reported on Wednesday, citing a prospectus of the Legislation it obtained. The EU directive requiring authorization for time-honoured Herbal iatric Products was established in 2004 but did not come into jemmy until May 1, 2011. Napi Gazdaság said the regulation reached an covenant with traditional Herbal Medicine makers already in January to put the Effect of the deadline. The Frame Legislation allows Pharmacies to sell Herbal Medicines that can be steeped and oiled over the Counter until March 31, 2013, after which old Herbal Prescription makers will have to comply with the EU directive and have their Products authorized. Between 3,000 and 4,000 tons of habitual Herbal Medicines are gathered in Hungary each year.
About 10,000 clan operate in the Application which is worth an Annual HUF 10 billion, about half of which is generated by Pharmacies.
